I had such an amazing time with Becky and Lenny in Philadelphia on Sunday.  I was able to capture some beautiful images of them together in their neighborhood (Washington Square) . Their wedding is in about three weeks and I am super excited about photographing it. These two have incredible chemistry, and it really shined through in the photos.  Lenny and Becky, I can’t wait to see the two of you again on your big day, it’s going to be beautiful.

On Saturday, I had the honor of photographing Ashley and Jim’s beautiful wedding. They had a lovely church service at St. Cornelius Church and the reception was held at The Corinthian Yacht Club. I just loved the nautical feel of their wedding, so perfect for summer. For those of you who remember, Ashley was my daughter’s Kindergarten teacher and she will forever hold a special place in my heart. She is without a doubt  one of the kindest, sweetest, and most organized people I have ever met.  She has a way of lighting up a room with her smile, and she didn’t stop smiling the whole day. Yes, this is a girl in love. Now let’s talk about Jim, he too is a sweetheart and could not keep his eyes off of his beautiful bride. They are absolutely perfect together.

Ashley and Jim, I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon. I wish you both  a lifetime of love, smiling and holding hands.

Dave and Colleen’s wedding took place at the Radnor Hunt Club in Media, Pennsylvania. It was such a  beautiful summer wedding, the love and joy illuminated throughout the day.  I don’t think Colleen stopped smiling and laughing the entire time. And Dave, the way you  looked at your bride, it was very clear that you are in love. I wish you both a lifetime of love, laughter and holding hands.

On Friday, May 28th I had the honor of photographing Matt and Julie’s wedding at Greenville County Club. The day was absolutely amazing. To tell you the truth I have been looking forward to this wedding for six months. You see Julie is one of those people that you meet for the first time and you feel like you have know her for years. She has a way of smiling with her eyes, and that is what she did every time she looked at Matt. Julie and Matt, I walked away from your wedding on Friday night thinking I just photographed the most beautiful wedding for my friends. Congratulations.

Created with love.

You may recognize Julie from a previous blog post. She was a bridesmaid from Amanda and Ryan’s wedding. Julie is the kind of girl that you can’t help but smile when you are around her. She is full of great energy. Matt… well he’s one of the good ones. I loved watching them interact. It was the way he looked at her that let me know that this is going to be a marriage made in heaven (and I’m going to be there to photograph it). Enjoy your sneak peek Julie and Matt.I can’t wait to photograph your big day:)

I added a little texture to this one. I like to change it up from time to time.

Sometimes when it rains on your wedding day and you need to find a sunny day for photos. So that’s what we did. Amanda put her dress back on and Ryan put his tux on and we headed back to Hartefeld to capture the images they had been dreaming about all year.We had such a wonderful time and I have so many favorites. Here is one of them.

It’s funny where life takes you. Four years ago my family moved to Kennett Square largely because of the school district. My children were starting kindergarten. My daughter was lucky enough to have one of the most amazing teachers. Her name was Ashley. Four years later I was lucky enough to photograph Ashley during a very special time in her life. She just recently met the love of her life and got engaged. Ashley and Jim, I had a wonderful time with the two of you at the orchard. I’m looking forward to your beautiful wedding.

I remember the day Amanda called me and said that she HAD to have me photograph her wedding. This was the phone call I received just after I had booked her sister’s wedding for May of 2009. At that point, I had not even met Amanda face to face. It didn’t matter. I was delighted and very honored.

Despite the rain that decided to join us on Amanda and Ryan’s special day, it was absolutely perfect. I hope the two of you are having a blast on your honeymoon. Enjoy your sneak peek.

I love this photo of all the girls wearing rain boots. So fun!

Can’t you just hear their laughter? Their happiness filled the room.

The ballroom at Hartefeld looked gorgeous. The details were amazing. The place card numbers were photos of Amanda and Ryan when they were children. The number coincided with the age Amanda and Ryan were in the photo. How cute is that?

You can tell a lot by the way two people dance together. They are in love.

On October 10th I was honored to photograph the marriage of two amazing people, Michelle and Ken. They are the kind of people that you meet for the first time and feel like you have known them all your life. Michelle, you are gorgeous both inside and out and you light up a room with your beautiful smile. Ken, you are one of the kindest people I have ever met, and love the fact that the two of you are Sagittarians  just like me! I wish you both many years of love, laughter and holding hands.
