on display
January 26, 2012I remember as a little girl I would rearrange my bedroom once a month. Yes, I think my obsession for design began when I was seven. I loved creating different displays…I still do. One thing that I enjoy doing is working with my clients to display their photographs in their homes. Whether it is grouping images together to create one beautiful display, or choosing one image and showcasing it, I love the creative process. I have been working on my own personal display in my home, and I thought I would share that with you today. It is a mixture of recent and old family photos. I choose to mix up the frames and textures of the mattes. Many of the images are custom framed, some are from Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware. I still have more images to add…a work in progress.

Next up, I’d love to share with you a few images from one of my wonderful clients homes. The first image is a grouping of five images to create one amazing display. There is also room to add on for future images as the children get older:) The image in the middle is a 16×20 print with a three inch linen matte and my favorite black wooden frame. The four surrounding images are 11×14 prints with a two inch linen matte with the same black wooden frame just a smaller version.

This family also decided to matte and frame their favorite family image. I just love it!

Finally, they wanted single images of the kids on canvas. Canvases were 16×24. They looked fantastic!

If you would like me to see your displays, email me a photo I’d love to see them!
